Parents in Science

Balancing career and family is hard. In particular, those working in science face a variety of challenges in advancing their careers while still being the type of parent they want to be. For many, the situation isn’t pretty and it’s time we stopped pretending that it is. We have to discuss the challenges openly and honestly. The Parents in Science series is a forum for academics to do just that, as well as propose solutions and institutional reforms that could help academics with children be more successful. Below are links to the posts leading up to the series, as well as the guest posts to date. If you are interested in contributing, please email emck31@gmail.com.
